BVU announces the appointment of Elizabeth Winter as Regional Vice President

BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence today announced the appointment of Elizabeth (Beth) Winter as Regional Vice President.
As Regional Vice President of the Akron office of BVU, Beth Winter will have responsibility for meeting nonprofit leaders to understand their needs for board members and consulting services, developing business memberships and matching business professionals to nonprofit board opportunities. Ms. Winter begins her new position on July 9, 2012.
Beth Winter most recently served as Regional Manager, Marketing, at Summa Health System, from 2008 to 2011. In this role, she was responsible for all marketing, communications and public relations for Summa Barberton Hospital and Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. Prior to that, she was Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital from 1986 to 2008. Ms. Winter also currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at The University of Akron, where she develops and teaches communications courses. She is a board member for the American Red Cross, Medina County Chapter, and Project: LEARN of Medina County.
Commenting on the appointment, BVU President and CEO Brian Broadbent said, "Beth Winter brings a wealth of nonprofit marketing experience and knowledge of the Greater Akron community to BVU. Her background and perspective will be a great asset to our organization, and we are delighted to welcome Beth to BVU as we seek to grow our services to both businesses and nonprofits in the region."
Beth Winter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Rhetoric and a Master of Arts in Communication, both from The University of Akron. She resides in Wadsworth.
