BVU announces the appointment of Elizabeth Winter as Regional Vice President

BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence today announced the appointment of Elizabeth (Beth) Winter as Regional Vice President. As Regional Vice President of the Akron office of BVU, Beth Winter will have responsibility for meeting nonprofit leaders to understand their needs for board members and consulting services, developing business memberships and matching business professionals to nonprofit board opportunities. Ms. Winter begins her new position on July 9, 2012.

BVU in partnership with The Cleveland Indians invite you to participage in the Indians Volunteer Challenge. This program is designed to promote and celebrate volunteerism in our community. Volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours between March 23 and August 31, 2012 and receive two (2) Upper Box or two (2) Mezzanine tickets
to one of 25 preselected 2012 Tribe games.

Akron-based Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) and Cleveland-based Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) are one organization known as BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence, with offices in both downtown Akron and Cleveland.

On July 20, 2011, 300 young professionals from 26 local businesses and organizations will volunteer at nonprofits during the "Summer of Service" event. These volunteers will plant urban gardens, organize medical donations for humanitarian aid shipments, paint shelters, interact with seniors and much more at 16 local nonprofits.

Businesses are using the "Summer of Service" event to communicate the importance of corporate commitment to community volunteering and help tie these young professionals to Cleveland.
